Maya, just because it sounds unique and interesting. (And because it makes me think of the Mayans; which sounds both ancient and exotic. )
Re: Linux Mint 13 poll
I'm afraid the distro will have a very short lifespan ending on December 21 if there's too much influence from the Mayans in there.dritzominous wrote:(And because it makes me think of the Mayans; which sounds both ancient and exotic. )

Re: Linux Mint 13 poll
I'd love Mint 13 to have a name like:
Athena
Diana
Penelope
But... Since the name has to be starting with an "M" and ending with an "A", then it should be :
MAKA: Native American Sioux name meaning "earth"
or
MARGARITA: Latin form of Greek Margarites, meaning "pearl."
or
MAIA (Μαία): Greek name meaning "nursing mother." In mythology, this is the name of the eldest of the Pleiades and mother of Hermes by Zeus.

Re: Linux Mint 13 poll
I like Maia or Maiya better than Maya. Other than one of those, I'd probably vote for Monica if it was listed.
Re: Linux Mint 13 poll
I have voted for Maya...but Melissa isn't bad either
Linux Mint 17.3 Cinnamon (64 bits)
Re: Linux Mint 13 poll
I'd say MINA.
Cause it's most unusuall of the proposed.
Somehow it defers. Just like Mint.
Nevertheless, phonetically it's the best, both are 4 letter words, only last letter is different.
It's pronounced very effective.
