about alt-f2

Post by red123 »

There does not seem to be any program suggestions when I type my command with the Alt-F2 feature. Anyone know if this feature even implemented in gnome-shell or cinnamon?

That did not answer my question. Alt-f2 works for me, but I am wondering if there was a feature that was implemented such that you can type in the program name and it will also list the suggestions similarly to KDE. I remember in Gnome 2, the command will auto-complete itself which was also useful

That already implemented both in the Gnome Shell edition and in Cinnamon, press the windows key and start typing

AlbertP shared on another topic that there is a regression in Cinnamon, causing Alt+F2 not to work.

Glad to know I didn't break something. I'll just sit back and work around it for awhile.
