Hello,
I updated my work-PC to LMDE UP4. Great! Working with Mate.
But what I want to try is a clean install of the new (coming) iso with only E17. And not all the packages for Mate, Gnome and Cinnamon.
What's the best way to do this?
Thanks in advance

I guess the new ISOs will come with at least XFCE (without Cinnamon, Gnome or MATE). It's relatively light-weight.
Or you could look on the internet for a derivative of LMDE.

Yes, I'm also trying XFCE, but maybe the solution is to install E17 on top of XFCE and then removing XFCE. E17 is in the repos.

Go Bodhi and set the repos to "testing"......or chill until Bodhi 2.
