Reviving the old Linux Mint Plymouth themes

Postby karashata » Sat Nov 05, 2011 2:34 pm

I took it upon myself to make sure the old Linux Mint Plymouth themes can still be used by those of us who prefer to have something to see while the system boots and like them. I hope no one minds (Clem in particular as it appears he's the package maintainer for them...). I've even gone ahead and repackaged them for Linux Mint Debian Edition as well for those that would like to use them there.

So, enjoy, I guess.

(Moderators: If this isn't the appropriate forum to post this in, feel free to move it where it belongs. Also, if I really shouldn't be repackaging the old official Plymouth themes, feel free to remove this thread entirely and please let me know...)

Thank you! I was looking for this. I know Clem thinks it's not needed, but I'm one of those old-school folks who like to see something happening on my screen assuring me the machine is working. I don't see why it's been removed from the repo.
