Re: What oses yall running?
I am now running Bodhi Linux 1.4 on my sons laptop. I plan on running a bunch of the kids programs and it gives me a lightweight OS that has fit all of my needs. This is what I love about Linux. There is always something out there for everybody.
Re: What oses yall running?
As a main OS I use Linux Mint 12 with Mate. It's in multi-boot with Fedora 16(Gnome 3) and Windows 7 Home Premium. I plan to install Open SUSE tomorrow
Re: What oses yall running?
I run Quelitu 12.04 (Jazz). I has a Heads-Up Display, most of the Lubuntu packages, an Advanced Config Center, a Maintenance Center, and several Ultralight Utilities.
It actually uses less RAM than Lubuntu (75 MB installed using defaults).
Even better, it has several installation options, including an Enlightenment interface (Quelitu Jazz) with animation and desktop effects to boot!
See the Release Notes at:

Can you run Android 4.0 ICS in virtualbox?bimsebasse wrote:Linux Mint 12 (Cinnamon desktop) and Windows 7 dual boot. Have Mint 11 and Android 4.0 ICS virtualboxes too.
I have a different OS on each computer. Mint 13 Cinnamon on this desktop, Mint 12 LXDE on my hp-mini netbook, Win 7 on my DELL laptop, UNR on an EeePC set-up as a music player, and an old Toshiba laptop with ubuntu kept as a spare. My office computer runs win 7. Android 4.0 on my phone.
I use virtualbox for testing new OS - a quick count finds fifteen iso files to choose from.

Re: What oses yall running?
Zorin 6 RC...the word is AWESOME....i will be re-installing when the final release comes out
Oh, and you don't have to keep the windows "look"...there are MANY other choices for the style of the menu as well...
It's a super smooth, very polished version of Ubuntu 12.04 using an AWN panel and gnomenu...a very simple solution for those that like gnome 3 but do not care for unity...(actually i don't mind unity but kind of like this better)
I love mint too but i am afraid to have to admit i have found a new love
Still enjoy the mint forums though and hanging out here
A friend of mine recently said: yeah...that's the trouble with linux...too many choices

Re: What oses yall running?
Yes, it's not official but gives you the experience anyhow: http://www.webupd8.org/2012/02/android- ... d-ice.htmlGarvan wrote:Can you run Android 4.0 ICS in virtualbox?bimsebasse wrote:Linux Mint 12 (Cinnamon desktop) and Windows 7 dual boot. Have Mint 11 and Android 4.0 ICS virtualboxes too.
Not really a full-fledged laptop OS yet but fun to play with.

Re: What oses yall running?
Ok time to break out the list
At Home:
Laptop 1 - Joli OS (soon to be LM 13 MATE)
Laptop 2 - Proxlinux 2
Dekstop - Linux Mint 13 Cinnamon (64)
At Work:
Desktop 1 - Windows vista
Desktop 2 - Ubuntu 11.10
Virtual Machine - Proxlinux 2 (testing and reviewing currently
Server - CentOS 5.8
On Android:
Debian wheezy
Ubuntu 9.10
Thats for now anyway, I'm interested in seeing how to port Linux Mint onto Android but fiorst it would have to be ARMv7 compatable.
*edited as new machines are up and running now

Re: What oses yall running?
Primary computer, a laptop:
Mint 9 Xfce for almost everything I do;
Windows Vista for Minecraft (because the laptop's graphics are not fully supported in Linux) and Netflix and other occasional uses for Windows;
Xubuntu 12.04 RC in the "sandbox" partition - will be changed to Mint 13 Xfce as soon as the RC comes out.
Secondary computer, a desktop, formerly my primary computer:
Windows XP for Minecraft and for color printing of photos;
Mint 11 Gnome for messing around;
Mint 9 Xfce for messing around.
Multimedia laptop (my wife's old computer):
Mint 10 Gnome with Guayadeque and conky for playing the mp3's from my ripped cd's over the stereo
Windows 7 for Netflix on the TV and a Minecraft server
Kids desktop:
Windows XP for most stuff
Mint 9 Xfce for Minecraft
(You can probably figure out I like Xfce and Minecraft!)

Main desktop: Mint 12 XFCE (with Mint 9 XFCE until I finish moving files)
Netbook: Mint 10 XFCE and Win7
Older HP laptop: Mint 9 Main and Vista
Daughter: desktop and netbook: Mint 9 XFCE
Hubby: Vista, but only because he needs IE for his work stuff (stupid company!)
Antiques:
Old Dell Dimension: WinXP
Really old HP desktops (2): Mandriva (from '08, I think) One of these is also dual-booted with XP
2 HP Omnibook laptops, old P3's: one has an old Fedora, the other Mint 9 XFCE

I had never heard of SolusOS until this thread. Wow, that's probably the most professional looking distro site I've ever seen. Gonna try it out tonight!
Re: What oses yall running?
Running Windows 7 dual boot with mint 13.
Mostly I use win since I can't get the sound blaster 3di on my alienware m14x r2 to work under Linux.
Sent from my Cyanogenmodded GNex
