Software Manager Stuck
Like the subject says its stuck on gathering information. the only way I can make it stop is if I restart my computer. I have never had a problem like this and I'm not sure what to do to get it running. I really wanted to install LMMS today.

Have same problem.
Assume your using the 'Mint software Manager'
because it writtin in Python (I believe) its search can be slow (if you pause to long when typing a search) it can bog down.
Install the Ubuntu software center (sackrilige) or use 'synaptic package manager (I do) just remember to reload list after updating.
