[Solved] OpenGL issues

Post by Okre »

Hi everyone,

I am new to LMDE and have some troubles to execute applications requiring OpenGL.
I am running a 64-bit LMDE version and I've installed Nvidia graphic drivers 295.20. I thought it would be enough to run apps but when I am trying to run a game through wine, I get the following error :

Code: Select all

Direct3D9 is not available without OpenGL
Any ideas ?
Thanks

Which version of Wine are you using: Stable or Unstable? With 64-bit LMDE, you would need to use Unstable, and to install the package libwine-gl-unstable.

Thanks for your help.

I am using unstable wine, directly installed from http://dev.carbon-project.org/debian/wine-unstable/.
I have check my package and libwine-gl-unstable is installed.

Problem solved by updating Nvidia drivers from 295.20 to 295.59.

Don't think drivers version was the issue. This time, I was asked to installed opengl 32bits lib and not the first time so problem was probably a bad installation.
