hello,
it's my first day of real use of mint - i had tried it one year ago and reverted back to ubuntu-
and i am really impressed by the progress been made and by the stability -so far- of cinnamon...
the reason that finally made me abandon the ubuntu ship was the amazon scandal,
i really prefer paying for an os -like windows or i-os - than having ads in my damn app launcher!!
of course this is not the only reason, i prefer cinnamon so far from both gnome 3 and unity,
this also the reason i didn't choose fedora
so i just wanted to say hi, to say i really like the mint experience and sincerity
and to say i hope when all the sane ubuntu users flee to mint - which i hope is inevitable-
you won't follow canonical's step
just a hi by a convert ;)

Hi aakkuan, welcome to the Linux Mint forums Thanks for joining the forums! Linux Mint is funded by donations and by adverts on the website. Any contribution to help keep the developers fed and the servers running is appreciated!
Be sure also to check out the Community website (ideas, tutorials, and hardware and software reviews), and if you picked Cinnamon as your desktop environment then also the Cinnamon Spices website for adding even more themes, applets and extensions to Cinnamon.
You can also chat in real-time with other Linux Mint users. In the Mint Menu, in the Internet section, start the application XChat IRC. You will automatically get connected to #linuxmint-chat for general chat and #linuxmint-help for support with other Linux Mint users.
Have fun with Linux Mint.
