<SOLVED> Browser pages jerk up and down as I scroll mouse

Post by DumbCluck »

Hi
When I try to scroll down a page the page will suddenly snap back up in a jerking motion. Like it is rocking up and down. it seems to have something to do with the mouse (USB) but I have not been able to find any helpful info. It even happens when I scroll slowly and continuously, it is just becoming a real annoyance.
I have tried firefox smooth scrolling plugins , tried changing the mouse settings and adjustments, every suggestion I could find but no good. Burning bat feathers at midnight almost worked but it came back by 12:01.
Any ideas?

Which mouse? And do you have any other graphical glitches, in other applications?

Vincent!
Thanks for pointing towards the mouse!
I recently bought a box of 5 new mice off Fleabay and I was using one of them and
had this trouble. I just tried a couple of the other mice and they work fine!
That mouse must be defective!
Linux Mint is working great again!
LUV LINUX MINT!!
And the people in this forum are the best! :D
