Setting Wallpaper To Slideshow Using Bash

Post by chessmaster942 »

How can I setup my desktop to shuffle through images randomly and change them every x minutes? I'm using the standard included version of Cinnamon with Linux Mint 13.

You can use 'wallch' which I beleive is in the repo's (if not google), it's a nice simple wallpaper changer.

I use Variety - available via synaptic/apt-get/softwaremanager as I could not get good resolution from wallch.

Variety downloads very nice wallpapers from the net.
