My printer is installed and works fine with every application I have tried - except the gimp which has no print option in its menus. It looks as though I have to install some sort of plug-in but I would like to know which as I do not want to mess up printing with everything else.
I have ended up with Mint as every other distro I tried failed before I got any screen to work from. Fortunately I quite like the Mint.

Re: how do you print in the gimp?
If you search for Gimp in Synaptic Package Manager, I seem to recall there are some print plugins amongst the results.
