I've searched a bit, hopefully I didn't overlook the answer
After UP6 installed successfully, I see that nemo was also installed. Which is great btw My question is how do I make it the default file manager? is is as east as removing Nautilus and a reboot maybe?
I poked around the system/preferences sections but did not see a "choose preferred application" menu.
thanks in advance and great work everyone

Re: Make nemo default file manager after UP6 install
There was an option where you add to check "let Nemo handle the desktop" in cinnamon settings but can find it anymore.
Just uninstall Nautilus and see what happens

Re: Make nemo default file manager after UP6 install
sorry for the major delay for updating this. Removing nautilus was the correct thing to do. just remove and reboot and all is good
Re: [SOLVED]Make nemo default file manager after UP6 install
I found myself the blog post below very useful, because even the full purge + reinstall of nemo didn't set it up as default file manager...
