I am using rEFInd to boot. The install went fine but the system hangs when booting at this point:

Code: Select all

[ 11.267655] Bluetooth: BNEP (Ethernet Emulation) ver 1.3
[ 11.267782] Bluetooth: BNEP filters: protocol multicast
[ 11.495207] snd_hda_intel 0000:00:1b.0: >irq 49 for MSI/MSI-X

The system will boot in recovery so I can get additional information if it's needed. I've let the system sit at this point for about 15min just to see if it would get past it and it did not.

EDIT:

Some additional information. If I bot into the recovery mode, drop to root, remount / read/write then change my init level I get into X just fine, however wireless isn't detected. Wireless is an issue for later, why it will not boot in normal mode is troubling. I do not know what information to post to help solve the problem so please let me know and I will happily oblige.

I have not gotten any responses to this.

I can boot into something like backtrack fine but I get no usb support. When I boot into mint from either the dvd or installed it locks up the system unless I use recovery mode. From there I can go into install or into X just fine. Trying to do a normal boot I get an instant black screen and nothing responds at all.
