Hi, I've recently changed to linux mint and cinnamon (I previously used KDE).
The problem here is that I can't personalize the login screen, in the local configuration, I select the "plane" style, (no themes), for background I select a jpg image, and no color, but when I reboot and get to the login screen, there's just a black background. Also, I'm the only user so It's kinda annoying having to type my username, I'm okay with the password It's just how to setup a default user for login.
Sorry if there's a grammatical error, English isn't my first language. Thank you in advance.

Re: Login Screen configuration
if you go to menu -> admin -> login windows, you can change it.
Re: Login Screen configuration
Also, if you don't see anything that suits your needs and preferences, you can go to:

Download and install one (or more) that you like.
