Wierd problem with LInux Mint desktop

Post by JESSEJJ89 »

Everytime I take a snapshot or use the skype "share screen" feature, it always displays my desktop or a page/program that's no longer open. I have attachted a sceenshot with a "picture" of Linux Forums, and instead the picture displays pages that are no longer open or in use. Skype "sceen sharing" has very similar results.

Anybody have indeas on what this can be ? I really like Linux Mint, but this issue is really annoying.

OS: Linux Mint 14 (Nadia) Cinnamon edition

Do you have an ATI card with the proprietary drivers installed? If so there is a bug with screenshots with Cinnamon and ATI proprietary drivers.

The OP might want to try different screen-capture software, especially if the problem is only with Cinnamon.
Please edit your original post title to include [SOLVED] if/when it is solved!
Your data and OS are backed up....right?

it also occers when I use Skype's "Screen Sharing" feature so I don't think it's the software.
