Re: testing upcoming LMDE ISO
To get the iso's for testing you have to become a tester first. The iso's are not released public.
If you have a account on that Community site you have to contact Clem and he will add you to the testers group.
The current iso's of LMDE are going to be rejected due some DNS resolution problems, so testing these any further won't bring much. When the new iso's will be up for testing i don't know yet.

Launch the liveCD
At the isolinux menu, press Tab to edit the boot line
insert the option plymouth:splash=ubuntu-text
Boot with that modified line
What to expect:
The resulting splash screen should be properly branded for Linux Mint.

I didn't say you have to be quite skilled. And yep, it's following the instructions as you said.
Re: testing upcoming LMDE ISO
Allright.
Then I'll probably create an account, ask for the ISO, and try to help.
Thanks again.

Re: [SOLVED] testing upcoming LMDE ISO
I'm interested in helping as well. Is it best to reach out to Clem on the community site or in the forums? I did the former a little over a week ago but did not hear back.

Jump in on IRC and ask there. Mind though he's very busy.
Re: [SOLVED] testing upcoming LMDE ISO
I see that the new iso's were recently approved for RC. How do we go about getting those iso's? I'd like to help with the testing effort, but didn't have any luck asking in irc.
Edit: Nevermind, Clem added me to the testing group.
