[SOLVED] VLC won't save .xpsf format playlists

Post by mopalia »

VLC (2.2.0.4. Twoflower) on Mint 14 Cinnamon 64 bit won't save my playlists in .xpsf format. When I specify .save as .xpsf, it saves as .html which will not play. The M3U and M3U8 formats work fine but I don't like the graphics that those insist on. I've searched a lot on this problem and apparently it was a bug in when working in the Spanish language, so FWIW, I work in English but most of my music includes Korean text, if that matters. Many thanks.

So if Spanish was a problem maybe Korean is also..
--to get language working, everything about the locale has to be functioning (keyboards, language, fonts (UTF mode used ?) and so on..

VLC, Playlist format..

AHA! I didn't think Korean was the problem, since all the other formats worked. The link above provided the answer - it is just saving without a valid extension. A quick name change solves the problem and the playlist works fine. I will work a bit to see if I can correct this but will probably be back on the newbie page asking for help soon.

Thank you for giving me back my music!
