LibreOffice 4 - KDE - Looks Unwieldy

Post by anandrkris »

Anyone else experienced this issue? Otherwise, it works fine. Possibly, issue with desktop integration (kde). Although, KDE integration module for LibreOffice 4.0 .0.3 is installed.

Terminal output of launching libreoffice.

Code: Select all

$ libreoffice
/usr/bin/libreoffice: 181: exec: /usr/lib/libreoffice/program/oosplash: not found

Strange when I run it in Kde.

Code: Select all

orbmiser@Winterfell ~ $ libreoffice
Fontconfig warning: "/usr/lib/libreoffice/share/fonts/truetype/fc_local.conf", line 13: Having multiple <family> in <alias> isn't supported and may not works as expected
But seems to run normal. But am no expert. Maybe something to do with having libreoffice boot splash enabled or disabled in preferences of libreoffice?

After i installed 'fonts-opensymbol' (recommended update) now none of the Libreoffice applications are available. I thought of uninstalling this from Synaptic but then looks like libreoffice-core is a dependency. Will try reinstalling, thankfully all the .deb files are still available in downloads folder.
I think i was just greedy to try libreoffice 4.
