<SOLVED>Mint14 Cinnamon sound problems with JACK

Postby whelpeti » Mon Mar 11, 2013 12:35 pm

I'm having problems with my sound forwarding from Hydrogen (http://www.hydrogen-music.org/hcms/) to Ardour through JACK audio connection kit.

--Mint14 Cinnamon

I can't hear the sound from hydrogen if I play it through JACK (or in any way) to my sound output or play it throught Ardour (live I mean), but if I export sound from Ardour to file, when it plays I can hear the sound, I want to play it throught my headset (USB G35).
(system likes to set my hardware in sound settings to my graphics card (ATI HD5870))

I have installed QjackCtl as my "GUI" for JACK.
Also, all of these have been installed with apt-get.
I have made audio group and added myself into it.

Also I have gone throught alsamixer settings, no difference.

In hydrogen >tools>preferences>audio system> there's a drop down box that should read auto or Jack, there you can set the audio output:Auto,Jack,ALSA,OSS,Port Audio.

That should fix your hydrogen sound problems. For routing it to Ardour I think you may have ask on the Ardour or hydrogen forums.
