Just to say Hi

i have just joined, new to Mint but also new to Linux in general, using win7 and Ubuntu 12.04 on another laptop, just wanted to stop by and say hi.

Hi - Welcome to the Mint family. I am a Windows convert as well and am enjoying Linux Mint.
Which desktop environment (Mate / Cinnamom / KDE) are you using?

I'm using Nadia 64 bit, I think it's KDE, konsole is my terminal.

Great, even am using KDE, which has a steep learning curve. It took me some time to understand the desktop containment concepts - workspaces, activities and figured that the widgets could be added to a panel as well as desktop.
I am running the latest KDE Plasma Desktop 4.10.1 - which is great.
