Cinnamon improvement suggestion: Printer tray icon

Postby Q-collective » Mon Apr 01, 2013 10:55 am

So, not sure where to post this, so I'll bring it up here.

I just let my sister, who knows little about Linux, print something. Of course, she did something wrong and printed the same document way too many times. It is at times like these that I suddenly realize that there is no obvious way to empty the print queue, as there is no print tray icon to be found!

A quick google solved it, but I really shouldn't have to start system-config-printer manually or go to the CUPS localhost page to go to the queue and stop the tasks. This could and should be much more simple.

/feedback.

Moved here. Sounds reasonable, as long as it isn't displayed for people without printers (hi, paperless nerd here :)).

Hence a tray icon: It would just be displayed when needed (i.e, when printing something) ;)
