Function keys not working on my samsung laptop.

Hi all,

I am using Mint 14, 64 bits, cinnamon, on my samsung NP300 laptop. None of the function keys from F1 through F12 are working. Only the following keys are working (that also in a bizarre manner and as if fn key is pressed although I am not touching it.)
F2: brightness gets less by one point from maximum.
F3: brightness reaches maximum.
F5: keypad gets locked
F6: volume mute

Please let me know how I can make them hwork?

On my Samsung NC10 (for both Mint and Xubuntu before I found Mint) I used the Voria packages;

https://launchpad.net/~voria/+archive/ppa

They work on my NC10 netbook getting the backlight working correctly and fn keys generally doing what they should.
