Use of solid state hard drives with Linux Mint

Post by wpshooter »

Are there any compatibility issues with using a solid state hard drive with Linux (and in particular with Mint 13) operating systems ?

Thanks.

Generally not. SSDs are just SATA storage devices, like a hard disk. I've used SSDs for years now without issue.

Echo that - I'm running SSDs in both my Mint machines. Just swapped over with no issues. As far as the OS is concerned, it's a hard drive like any other.
