HP Notebook 2000 CD boot issue SOLVED
I just purchased a new laptop, and I am trying to install Mint 13 on dual boot. Unfortunately, the comp isn't booting from DVD. I have changed the boot priority so that DVD/CD drive is at the top, and have also attempted to force boot to the drive. Neither option will boot from the DVD. How do I get Mint to install? I have installed Mint many times on other devices, and can't get this one to work.

Re: HP Notebook 2000 CD boot issue SOLVED
The UEFI boot manager is proprietary to the windows, or HP. When it was looking at the image on the DVD, it didn't recognize it, so it wouldn't load it. Fortunately, there was a legacy boot option, and when I enabled that, I was able to force the boot from DVD and it is running normally now.
