Another Kernel Panic VFS

Post by Weskhan »

Hey everyone,

I know there are a lot of topics with this error, but none of them are 100% like mine. So I decided to make my own. I am running a dual-boot GRUB PC with Ubuntu 12 and Windows 7 currently and have been trying to replace Ubuntu with Linux Mint 14. My plan was to launch Linux Mint 14 via USB and then install it to my hard-drive by just overwriting the Ubuntu partition. I have tried installing Linux Mint 14 to a USB and running it from there using UNetBoot in Windows and Startup Disk Creator in Linux. Both give me the same error when Linux Mint tries to boot. Note that I get this error AFTER the little start-up Linux Mint image shows.

*Another note: UNetBoot always gives me the error "can not launch X:/bluhbluhbluh/autorun.inf" or something like that.

Error:
