How to put Linux Mint into sleep mode?

Post by mastermind16X »

My laptop is set to dual boot either in Mint 13 or Windows 7. I've always just restarted my computer and loaded Windows whenever I needed to put my computer to sleep, but I was hoping there's a way to put Mint 13 into sleep mode. Just to specify, I do mean sleep mode, like the one on Windows, not hibernate or suspend.

ubuntu 12.04 Which mint 13 was based upon came with hibernate disabled because it didn't work on some hardware.
here's a page that will tell you how to reenable it. http://askubuntu.com/questions/94754/ho ... ibernation

Suspend on Linux = sleep on Windows.
