LMDE Ultimate Edition

Post by Brahim Salem »

I suggest an ultimate edition for LMDE with most common Mint and Ubuntu software installed: like onboard, google earth, skype, Steam.....I suggest an annual release cycle for it :D I suggest "Ultamint" as a name for it :D It would be the only ultimate edition of Debian :D

You realise LMDE is based on the "rolling release" concept, right?

This isn't going to happen, and you know it  The Linux Mint developers and maintainers won't make time to build more variants, as last year some variants were dropped (Fluxbox and LXDE from the Main Edition, Xfce from LMDE) to allow the developers and maintainers to focus more on the core releases (more polish and stability). That doesn't stop you from picking up and respinning the LMDE ISO to make this happen though :)

This is really off topic but how did you get those gadgets on the side like on Windows?
