This seems a silly question but; how do I change the keyboard layout to suit a French laptop in Mint 15 Cinnamon?
On my present Mint 14 Mate setup there is an "Control Centre" entry under "Hardware" for "Keyboard". Most of the other familiar hardware settings icons are there in this new version but I can't find "Keyboard".
Or is it just my old age and short sightedness?

Cinnamon-settings -> preferences group -> regional settings -> there is a layout tab

Thanks for that - just seemed logical that I would find it under Keyboard which does appear if you select advanced on the settings screen. Guess I need to do some more exploring.

Cinnamon-settings -> preferences group -> regional settings -> there is a layout tab
Did you manage to get a french keyboard configured?
Menu/Preferences I could not find regional settings only Language support and Region and Language both were much more than low level keytops.

Found it. It's well hidden. Regional settings/layouts then click the + plus sign and select Canadian Multilingual or whatever 2nd layout you need. It no longer shows picture of the layout. Many thanks for your patience, please excuse my frustration. Ian.
