Hi,
According to the last release infos, it should be possible to install the /home partition on a different disk, however when I run the installer I don't see that option. Is there any guide explaining how to achieve it ?
Thanks in advance

Thanks but it looks like the LMDE installer doesn't have those options
Anything else I can do ?

OK well, thanks anyway...
Great community btw, wish I had this thing sorted.
I guess I'm not ready yet to run LMDE
Thanks again

Re: Install /home on separate hard drive
my LMDE setup has separated /home partition. there's a step of the installation where you choose where to install the system. at that step you can set another partition as /home.

On a different hard disk ?my LMDE setup has separated /home partition. there's a step of the installation where you choose where to install the system. at that step you can set another partition as /home.
My current problem is that I want to install LMDE (boot, swap, root) on sda while having /home on sdb (different had disk drive)
Is that doable ?
I think I did read somewhere on the LMDE 201303 release that was possible but I can't find it anymore.
LMDE is perfect for me, I'm using it on my work laptop, now that I have an ASUS at home with 2 HDD's, I would like to install LMDE on it, I don't want to be obligated to install a pure Debian just because of an installer issue.
Re: Install /home on separate hard drive
even though I didn't do that theorically it's possible. you'll need to mount and assign the partition manually at installation.

Re: Install /home on separate hard drive
If you don't mind setting up a separate home partition after the installation then here is information on how to do that. I've used it before and if you follow the instructions to the letter then it is quite painless and works fine.
