I installed ElectricSheep (as I usually do) and I can't get it to show up in the list of screen savers. I've tried the other suggestions about editing the .desktop file but nothing works.
Anyone encounter this? Solution?

If you're using gnome-screensaver, try uninstalling it and installing xscreensaver instead.

great to see that xscreensaver is back as the default in mint 15 !

Electricsheep seems to be working fine for me.
Just had to add:
GL: electricsheep --root 1 \n\
to the end of the list of screensavers in the xscreensaver config file in the home folder:
~/.xscreensaver
then electricsheep will show as an option in the list:
