HI , I hove a dropped Wifi problem.

Post by welcomemetoo »

{ Linux Mint 15 Olivia MATE 64}

ok here i go , explaining my situation...

So there is a wifi signal , which will not exceed 30% to my wireless network, many a times thee signal will disconnect. So... i've ran thee follow precedents: inxi -n , mintwifi , nm-tool, and can give You thee read-out.
I hove read thot realtech RaLinkrt 2800pci may be thee problem which is thee driver im using. I' ve tryed a terminal command suggested to decyrpt rt2800api : sudo modprobe -r rt2800pci followed by sudo modprobe rt2800pci nohwcrypt=1 which didnt really seem to do anything or '"Run" Prehaps i missed something there. I was tinkering with Backports FirmWare but have NOT yet figured thot out, which i wasn't expecting to fix my problem, but was only tinkering.
I have also installed Windows Wireless Drivers using ndiswrapper
net8185 : driver installed
net8185x64 : driver installed
net819xp : driver installed
netathw : driver installed
which were thee only ones i could find online and do not apply to anything i pre-assume.So not much Luck I have had.Nor success.

i have no idea whot thee problem IS, i am certain thot you will need my information,
I will await Your correspondence to give you those Read-outs .

this seems to be a common problem....the thread below solved my dropping out problem..it may not be for your exact dongle, but the chipset is most likely the same.....go herre:

not my post...I found the post by searching for my chipset dropping wifi on Google...it took
me to the link I posted..

I followed the directions in post #1 exactly...it solved the dropping problem & increased
my download speed as well....it also did the same for Ubuntu 12.04.3 as well...

hope it will solve your problem as well
