Hey everyone,
Ive been trying to figure out this sound issue for 3 weeks. Still nothing. Cant get any sound on:
Linux jmv15 3.8.0-19-generic #29-Ubuntu SMP Wed Apr 17 18:19:42 UTC 2013 i686 i686 i686 GNU/Linux
Tried everythign in the forums/online/etc.
installed Ubuntu 13.04 worked fine
Installed LMDE worked fine
I like this version of Mint the best but will have to go to something else if I cant figure it out.
Please help!!

I plugged in an external speaker added the "auto" from this thread and rebooted and it worked!
I have tried this before strange it worked now.
