How to launch Emerald at logon?
When I type the question in the subject in google, I get tons of results, but none of them seem to work on my LMDE. The latest update pack installed the latest MATE, which broke my Compiz setup. Now Compiz works, but there are no window borders, so I installed Emerald. The problem I now have is launching Emerald at logon. I tried placing it in the "startup aplications". I tried specifying it in CCSM. Nothing works. After log on I have no window borders. But when I manually open a terminal and type "Emerald", then it starts and I get my window borders, but I have to keep the terminal open. Is there a solution to this?

If it works from opening a terminal you could put the program in the bg (background) but that would only be a bandade
