Is there a script (?) or tweaking something in Cinnamon (that I don't know about) to make the Mint fonts look more polished?
Not themes -- but improving the font spacing would be nice start.

It's the font <spacing>in LibreOffice that is the core issue in my original comparative illustrations...
Look at the spacing in the words Text or Template in the sample illustration below....the letters seem un-naturally jammed together.
Changing fonts in Cinnamon Settings does not fix it.
LibreOffice using a true-type font that Cinnamon has an issue with, perhaps?
