Re: Unofficial Post Your Linux Mint Desktop Thread
I guess where I'm confused is I already have my task bar (or start bar depending on what one calls it) set to be transparent, but it's a flat even transparency. Yours has that nice glossy look.
Re: Unofficial Post Your Linux Mint Desktop Thread
Taskbar is where you the window list is, on my screenshot it is the bottom, title bar is the topmost bar on windows, where the Minimize, Maximize and Close buttons are. As for the glossyness, it is probably my theme, it is called XNTricity, and I am using GNOME.
Re: Unofficial Post Your Linux Mint Desktop Thread
Here is another screen shot showing my windows borders.

Re: Unofficial Post Your Linux Mint Desktop Thread
I am waiting for the official version of Mint 5, but what extras have you put in there? Is that a standard theme, and is that a new plugin for thunderbird on the right there?mmesantos1 wrote:New Desktop with Linux Mint Beta 048. Got everything working on this Beta.

Hey badmotor 2,
Well I added AWN and Emerald. Then downloaded Black-White 2 Gloss icon theme. The downloaded emerald theme is Grey Pearl. I downloaded both the icon and emerald theme from gnome-look.org. The Thunderbird is default from install nothing added.

The thing in the top right is my CPU usage. Or are you talking about the bottom right? That's my graphics card temp.

Re: Unofficial Post Your Linux Mint Desktop Thread
Ohh, assumed you had CPU temperature down there, guess it depends on needs
Re: Unofficial Post Your Linux Mint Desktop Thread
I'm not sure I can trust the temperature it gives me for my CPU, it usually says around 10C. But every hardware monitor I've tried (Both on Windows and Linux) gives me the same results so I'm not sure. My processor does use "Cool n Quiet" and is underclocked by almost 1 GHz most of the time so maybe that's why?MagnusB wrote:Ohh, assumed you had CPU temperature down there, guess it depends on needs

Re: Unofficial Post Your Linux Mint Desktop Thread
Definitely not - unless you have freezing temperatures in your roomusually says around 10C. But every hardware monitor I've tried (Both on Windows and Linux) gives me the same results so I'm not sure. My processor does use "Cool n Quiet" and is underclocked by almost 1 GHz most of the time so maybe that's why?
(Can of course not be below room temperature )
