help with lexmark Z600

i read a bunch, got the z600 deb file installed with no issues, or errors, my laptop recognises the printer. but when i try to print i get the ppup that says printing to lexmark z600 series printer. then nothing, no printing no sign of error
nothing ?
its a usb printer.

also checked printers -system, when i hit print says idle,t hen printing jod for few seconds then idle again
