windows manager, configure taskbar

hey all!

Id like to configure my Linux Mint look, Ive already installed Cairo Dock, Compiz and Emerald

1) how to change taskbar places - to put dock at bottom and taskbar at top?

2) how to configure icons and background in window? how can I install new icons and choose darker background in folders?

3) can u recommend please programs to configure window manager?

how to move taskbar to top?

I tried to move dock to bottom, instead I got 2 docks top and bottom =)

From the screenshot i assume you are using Mate, so for your questions:

1) Right click on the taskbar you want moved and choose Properties.
A window should open, click to the option Orientation, from there you can place it to any of the 4 basic positions you want to.

2) For your icons checkout http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=8806 .

3) For changing backgrounds in folders(Caja), open Caja and goto Edit on your menu, then click on Backgrounds and Emblems, in the window that opens, drag and drop the desired pallete, color, etc.
An alternative is by going to Appearance in Control Center, choose Customize and click on the tab Colors in the opening window, from there you can choose any color you like.

4) I do not know one directly for caja, but the Appearance at the Control Center is should be fine enough for most.
