That's what the Mint forums need, more good news stories to balance perception

Re: LibreOffice 4.2.4 install
Some things are just to good to last it seems
I use 4.2.3.3 that ships with Mint 17 with no noticeable problems so far, I'm a very light user of Libre Office though. Sorry to hear it didn't work out.

Oh, yes, sorry.. I didn't mean for that to sound like a recommendation , I'm on main edition and you are obviously on LMDE so I wouldn't expect to be able to recommend anything and for you have the exact same version in your repositories.. I'm just far too green to to really know any detail about LDME yet actually

*with 4.2.4 i found that when i went to save a web-page: (1) the links did not port and (2) images did not port.

this is a duplicate topic from http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.p ... 9&t=113683
anyway, real question is: what is Mint policy for LibreOffice, what versions we may expect through update
I asked that in http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.p ... 59#p888459.

AFAIK LibreOffice doesn't have automatic updates. no big deal: it tells you when updates are available; you just download the stuff and install it.Tim-int wrote:this is a duplicate topic from http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.p ... 9&t=113683
