mate-keybinding-properties = Keyboard Shortcuts

Post by Spearmint2 »

Mint 17 MATE - Keyboard shortcuts doesn't work, gives Segmentation Fault. Doesn't matter if from terminal or from launcher. Only once has it opened, but not again after that.

All things go better with Mint. Mint julep, mint jelly, mint gum, candy mints, pillow mints, peppermint, chocolate mints, spearmint,....

from your link;
You could use gsettings to do that. The GUI that crashes is just a frontend for that anyway.
this?

UPDATE;
I found a way around it, but not to fix it. Run dconf-editor from terminal or the installed GUI. Run search on 'keybinding' and find the various programs where settings can be changed.

Oh dear... That's been a while. I haven't used MATE since November. Yes, I think that's about it. You'll probably need mate instead of gnome in the commands though. Unfortunately, I don't have a MATE partition/install to check anymore.

Edit: Fired up my old machine and it looks like it's org.mate.desktop.keybindings instead of org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.media-keys.
