MATE MENU Installed To KDE??

Post by RonnyS »

Hi, I run the KDE 64 bit version of Mint 17 and I really like KDE, but the menu is
the only downfall, for me, that I can see. I like the Mate menu and found it in the
repository. So, I downloaded it and could not find it in the menu or when right-
clicking on the Mint menu button for options.

Is there any way to utilize the Mate menu within the KDE desktop? If so, could
you help a novice out and please instruct me on how to implement this?

Any help will be greatfully appreciated!

:)

What about right-clicking on the menu in KDE and selecting the more traditional setting? Would that come close?

I do that on all my KDE installs.

I use the lancelot menu instead of the standard kde launcher.
It looks better and is more user friendly

I have the same need! I love KDE but MATE Menu at the same time. I am using Lancelot Menu - which is nice but not as fine as MATE. I would be happy I there is a way to install the MATE Menue in KDE.
I looked in the MiniProgramms but found nothing.
