(solved) Hp ProBook 4440S - Graphics Glitch's
I just got a Hp Probook 4440s, switched my drive over to it and everything, and I have noticed a peculiar Graphics glitch. Occasionally when I am using Firefox or Gimp the graphics "Glitch" untill i move the mouse a bit. It kinda looks a bit like the old Nintendo glitchs Just not as bad. I am fairly sure its some kind of software issue (as the old tap the screen trick does nothing). Also I saw several posts about similer issues with the 4530 series on TonyMac86 (though theirs seems more pronounced then mine). any ideas

Which Intel driver do you use
--there is an Intel graphics installer available for Linux
https://01.org/linuxgraphics/downloads/ ... .0.6-linux
http://www.webupd8.org/2013/04/how-to-u ... ivers.html
Other than that it just seems to be a latency or rasterization issue; which can have something could have to with compiz setups
Intel drivers list, but you will probably get the suggested driver detected in your system so this is then just a comparison (to what is available..)

--Mint forum info and about using the Intel install program, it needs changed to use mint instead of Ubuntu/Fedora..
- Or you use the normal Mint procedure to install a third-party driver

Re: Hp ProBook 4440S - Graphics Glitch's
I have the 3rd Gen Intel Core i3 Processor with Integrated Intel 4000 Graphics. I am using the I915 kernal module
just installed the Intel Graphics Stack (from another post) so the kernal module is I915 v3.16-3.13 (i think)

oh and the Pic http://www.neowin.net/forum/uploads/mon ... 390040.png
is exactly what it looks like..... will see if it happens again with the graphics update I just did.
addendum: I am marking this as solved as I haven't had a glitch as of this time.
