[SOLVED] How to fix DPKG lock?

Post by J.Naw » Thu Jan 10, 2013 3:48 pm

Hello, How to fix:

E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11: Resource temporarily unavailable)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?

Any ways?

With mouse go to:

File system>var/lib/

You will see dpkg directory

Right click on dpkg icon

Choose "Open as administrator"

Password

Delete lock file

Close

Done!

There is a lock file like in /var/cache/apt/archives,

Sometimes it lock too dpkg directory...
