Install Depot Multisystem FAILED - ERROR

I am have a hell of a time trying to install Multisystem. I have had it on many other systems without error during install, even live environments.

Repeatedly I get an error and install quits.

I AM ROOT
REPOSITORY IS ADDED
KEY IS ADDED
APT-GET IS UPDATED

* ALL OTHER THREADS LEAD NO WHERE AND IM STUCK......

I had trouble with this program myself just two days ago (although not the same trouble as yours, the install script ran properly but the program wouldn't run at all). However I think the clue is here:
Wrong sources.list entry or malformed file
Check /etc/apt/sources.list the correct entry should be:

Edit (or add) your sources.list entry to match the one above and try the script again.

So I backed up the original sources.list, deleted it... and reset my software sources to defaults.

boeing-666 apt # mv sources.list /etc/apt/sources.list.OLD
boeing-666 apt # rm sources.list
boeing-666 apt # apt-get update

I have no idea why you are getting this error, but you are getting errors for linuxmint.com as well which suggests to me that you must have some wider problem than just multisystem.

All I can suggest is to go here:

[url]http://liveusb.info/multisystem/depot/dists/all/main/binary-amd64/m/[/url]

download the package manually and install it with

Code: Select all

sudo dpkg -i xxxxx
or gdebi-gtk if you have it installed.

Beware though that you must have the latest version of gtkdialog installed before you can run multisystem. Install that from here:
