Wait... What? Clem has probably received that and more. I just looked on one of his blogs at the October monthly news and he received $6,448 last month, and that is just the amount from individuals donating and does not take into account any sponsorships/advertisers/partnerships that he might be receiving money from. Obviously, the figure was just last month's total and other months might have been greater or lesser - but dividing $100K by $6,448 gives the answer of 15.5(08etc.) months to collect $100K (and, again, there may be other sources of income).

OtOH, Clem has already "given Apple/Microsoft a run for their money," lol. Haven't you seen his distro :P ?

Guys, I'm seeing a theme here and there that the Android guys often fall into.

Thinking to this effect more or less always shows up:

"Well, people have trouble with Android, but the work-arounds are simple and you can't solve stupid."

No one here said that specifically, but that sentiment is still alive and well among the linux folks I know, and it's a mistake. I used to kick out GUI designs decades ago that my guys would bring to me. They'd say, "but you can do it this way", and my response was over and over "Aim for a no-brainer. Aim for a no-brainer. Aim for a no-brainer."

Not because you needed a brain, but because products that are supposed to be generally useful really should be no-brainer designed.

As a software architect/engineer, a required or even suggested "work-around" is completely unacceptable.
Don't mistake my lack of reply for some kind of acceptance of your half-baked arguments.

We allow politically charged signatures here? That's a means to an end.

Then guns don't save people, people save people.
And I can't use a pencil on you and make you misspell.
And I can't use a bottle on you and make you drive drunk.
And let me know when I can wave a spoon at someone and make them fat.
Don't mistake my lack of reply for some kind of acceptance of your half-baked arguments.
