After I installed the LinuxMint 17.3 beta Cinammon update to my 17.2 install, Audacious refuses to run. When I try to reinstall it from any source (including the LinuxMint software repository, or the Terminal, or the Synaptic Package manager, or the Software Manager) I keep getting error messages. Synaptic says I have Broken Links, Software Manager says it can't install Audacious any longer, and the Terminal gives me the following long-winded error:
todd@todd-X54C ~ $ sudo apt-get install audacious

I don't have a clue as to how to fix this problem. I have Googled it but none of their solutions have worked for me.
Does anyone have a simple straightforward way of resolving my problems so I can install Audacious 3.71? I have spent several hours trying to get it working but have hit a brick wall.
