Drag-and-drop of files from firefox broken

Post by mcatkins »

Hi,
Until recently (a few weeks ago?) I could drag-and-drop files from the firefox downloads drop-down list, and from the firefox "library" window on to Nemo (or the desktop) to copy/move a file from downloads to somewhere else.

Now, however, it creates a file in the destination called "dropped test.txt", containing the "file:///..." url of the file. This is *not* a useful change!

Have I done anything to cause this (can i fix it?), or has it been broken in an update?

BTW: I *do understand* that dragged text (from a webpage, etc) should go into a dropped text.txt file - that makes sense - but not dragged files, please!

Thanks!
Martin

I don't know if it's Linux Mint only related, but yes, this affect me too.

Drag & drop a file from the download list (i guess this is how it's called in english), don't work anymore, and create a text file, containing the name of the downloaded file.
