wget https://github.com/winterheart/broadcom-bt-firmware/blob/master/brcm/BCM43142A0-0930-0225.hcd

Code: Select all

sudo cp BCM43142A0-0930-0225.hcd /lib/firmware/brcm/BCM.hcd

Code: Select all

sudo modprobe -r btusb

Code: Select all

sudo modprobe btusb
Then it should function

Try a shutdown and a cold boot and see if the results of the command is the same

Lets try a different file

Code: Select all

wget https://www.dropbox.com/s/97asfkhlbl74m9y/BCM.hcd

Code: Select all

sudo cp BCM.hcd /lib/firmware/brcm/BCM.hcd
Shutdown and boot it up

It worked briefly. I was connected, playing music, etc. then the connection was dropped (same experience for two speakers). Then they simply would not connect anymore. I rebooted everything. I tried to different bluetooth applications, I removed and re-paired the devices (which would pair but not connect). When it was working, the connection was unstable anyway. I appreciate your help but this is no longer worth my effort. What a ridiculous pain in the ass actually. Thanks again for you help though.
