Xbox One Bluetooth Controller Controls Mouse

Post by jdavis30 » Wed Oct 11, 2017 6:20 pm

I have gotten my xbox one controller operating by adding

Code: Select all

echo 1 > /sys/module/bluetooth/parameters/disable_ertm;
to "/etc/rc.local", as suggested by dryadofelysium in this reddit post.

However, the left joystick was moving the cursor, so I am looking for a method to disable this feature.
the solution stated here of using the command

Code: Select all

xinput -set-prop "Xbox Wireless Controller" "Device Enabled" 0
worked perfectly, but I have only been able to implement this method manually.
The more permanent solutions stated here, here, and here have all failed. I've attempted removing "xserver-xorg-input-joystick", and producing rules in "/lib/udev/rules.d/", "/usr/lib/X11/xorg.conf.d", and "/usr/lib/X11/xorg.conf" without any effect on reboot.

Are there any other methods that have been found for an automatic solution?

My current system is on Linux Mint 18.2 64-bit, running on an AMD FX-4100, with an AMD Radeon RX-480 as a graphics card. I do not believe this is relevant to this specific issue.
