(Solved) Update Manager Error Message

Post by felemur »

I installed Mint 19 Cinnamon on my laptop on the weekend, and now when doing the updates, I get this error message. I have no idea what I've done wrong to bring this about.

The Laptop is a Toshiba L770D with new install of Mint 19 Cinnamon, all current updates.

And the portion right under the error is the recovery message. Looks good to me. :-)

in another thread. See if it will resolve your issue.

Forgive my technical ignorance, but am I to take it that I should just let it be, and it's either resolved or a non-issue that will take care of itself when Tara mirrors are updated.

OR,

Should I do this in Terminal:

Code: Select all

apt update

apt install ubuntu-system-adjustments
Thanks for all the great help BTW.

You could try to switch your mirrors to the default ones in Software Sources. Next launch your Update Manager. Hopefully the updates offered will install just fine this time.

OK, thanks. I didn't knowingly switch away from the default.

Done. Clicked on going back to defaults, some updates came in, no errors.

Thank you.
