[SOLVED] use of 2nd Graphics card on LM19 Xfce

Post by obaino » Sat Jul 14, 2018 3:26 am

My laptop (Dell Inspiron 5570) comes with Intel Graphics 620 and Radeon 530.

Code: Select all

[~] inxi -G 10:21:32
Graphics: Card-1: Intel UHD Graphics 620
           Card-2: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD/ATI] Topaz XT [Radeon R7 M260/M265 / M340/M360 / M440/M445]
           Display Server: x11 (X.Org 1.19.6 ) drivers: modesetting,ati,amdgpu (unloaded: fbdev,vesa)
           Resolution: 1920x1080@60.05hz
OpenGL: renderer: Mesa DRI Intel UHD Graphics 620 (Kabylake GT2) version: 4.5 Mesa 18.0.5
How can I constantly use the Radeon card instead of Intel (eg. in games?)

Thank you

For your Hybrid Graphics (Intel/AMD) system, PRIME GPU Offloading needs to be used for switching the GPUs:
